The default heating parameters are optimized for materials with much higher melting points; applying them directly could result in overly aggressive heating and potential material degradation.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"885\" data-end=\"919\"><strong data-start=\"889\" data-end=\"919\">Lamp-Based Heating Control<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"921\" data-end=\"1083\">The SnowWhite\u00b2 uses halogen lamps to heat the powder bed. The amount of energy delivered to the powder depends on the minimum and maximum lamp-intensity settings.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1085\" data-end=\"1504\">Low-melt materials generally require a gentler and more gradual warm-up, often in a single heating step. To achieve this, users must fine-tune the lamp-power range. This is done by enabling the <strong data-start=\"1279\" data-end=\"1298\">\u201cLamps Control\u201d<\/strong> plugin, which unlocks the <strong data-start=\"1325\" data-end=\"1340\">\u201cLamps Min\u201d<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1345\" data-end=\"1360\">\u201cLamps Max\u201d<\/strong> parameters. Adjusting these values allows precise control over the lower and upper limits of lamp intensity, ensuring a smoother heating curve.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1506\" data-end=\"1533\"><strong data-start=\"1510\" data-end=\"1533\">Thermal Equilibrium<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1535\" data-end=\"1795\">Once the desired chamber temperature is reached, the system should remain at thermal equilibrium for at least 15 minutes. This stabilization phase ensures that all machine components and the powder achieve uniform temperature conditions before printing begins.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1797\" data-end=\"1848\"><strong data-start=\"1801\" data-end=\"1848\">Application Example: Polycaprolactone (PCL)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"1850\" data-end=\"2109\">\n<li data-start=\"1850\" data-end=\"1896\">\n<p data-start=\"1852\" data-end=\"1896\"><strong data-start=\"1852\" data-end=\"1885\">Printing chamber temperature:<\/strong> 55\u201360 \u00b0C<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1897\" data-end=\"2109\">\n<p data-start=\"1899\" data-end=\"2109\"><strong data-start=\"1899\" data-end=\"1921\">Material behavior:<\/strong> PCL is highly sensitive to temperature fluctuations and has a very narrow process window.
