Recently, our R&amp;D team completed an internal evaluation of a <b data-path-to-node=\"0\" data-index-in-node=\"262\">thermoplastic PVA (Polyvinyl Alcohol) powder<\/b>, a material prized for its unique properties yet demanding in its processing requirements. The SnowWhite2, equipped with a 14W CO2 laser and s<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sharebot.it\/en\/sharebot-snowwhite2-sls-3d-printer-for-universities-research-centers\/\">pecifically designed for material research and development<\/a>, provided the ideal environment to characterize how this hygroscopic polymer behaves under controlled industrial conditions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div><div Successful sintering was achieved at a powder bed temperature of <b data-path-to-node=\"3,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"90\">132 \u00b0C<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"3,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Laser Settings:<\/b> An optimal balance was found using <b data-path-to-node=\"3,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"51\">35% laser power<\/b> at a scan speed of <b data-path-to-node=\"3,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"86\">55,000 pps<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3,2,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"3,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Atmosphere:<\/b> All tests were conducted under an <b data-path-to-node=\"3,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"46\">inert nitrogen (N\u2082) environment<\/b> to ensure material integrity.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3,3,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"3,3,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Material Handling:<\/b> Due to its hygroscopic nature, pre-drying the powder for <b data-path-to-node=\"3,3,0\" data-index-in-node=\"76\">2 hours at 40 \u00b0C<\/b> is mandatory.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3,4,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"3,4,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Process Observations:<\/b> The powder exhibits limited flowability. While blade recoating was used for this study, we recommend exploring roller recoating or the integration of a flow agent to enhance surface planarity.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3,5,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"3,5,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Maintenance:<\/b> Rigorous post-process sieving is required to maintain powder quality for subsequent cycles.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"4\">Conclusion<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">The results demonstrate that the SnowWhite2 is highly effective for characterizing novel, challenging materials.
