A study carried out by ITT (Italian Institute Of Technology) illustrates all the mechanical properties of nylon carbon after the submission to various hardness and tensile tests.

The objects were printed tanks to a Sharebot NG, the professional 3D printer of third generation, with a mono extruder with a steel nozzle, which optimize and improve the Nylon-Carbon printing processes. This material has a good heat resistance and tensile strength, IT can be used instead of ABS. Nylon gives toughness and strength to the material, while the carbon makes it light and easy to be printed.

The printed objects appear resistant, opaque black, slightly rough and with a slightly metallic effect; the material can be easily processed once the printing process is finished.

Attached the document with graphic of the various tests (Italian version).
