AVAILABLE COURSES ASK INFORMATION

Sharebot is active in the educational world with its Sharebot Academy Division, which supports schools and teachers, helping them educate students to the Industry 4.0. Sharebot Academy offers courses, lectures, workshops, and didactic papers/documents for everyone interested in knowing and using 3D printing.

Sharebot Kiwi-3D, Next Generation, and 42 printers are the perfect tools to start learning all the secrets of 3D printing; transforming every school desk in a personal creation center. The printers are based on Arduino motherboards and are coming from the open philosophy, allowing compatibility with all the most slicing software. Every print setting can be modified so that it’s possible to use different materials and filaments like PLA and ABS or technical ones like TPU, NYLON, and NYLON-CARBON.

Sharebot Kiwi-3D

Sharebot Kiwi-3D is a small, craft 3D printer dedicated to schools, students, hobbysts and young professionals who want to start working with 3D printing technology using a solid, rapid, easy to use and reliable tool with small size that can be used in every working environmet. The printer has also the tipical and elegant “Made in Italy” design.

Sharebot Kiwi-3D has a building area of 140x100x100 mm; it uses FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication) technology to realize functional objects, models and prototypes with great quality. Kiwi-3D comes from the Sharebot NG development and it has the aim to transform every desk in a personal creativity center.

Slicing

Once completed, the STL file needs to be processed by a piece of software called a “slicer” which converts the model into a series of thin layers and produces a G-code file containing instructions tailored to a specific type of 3D printer (FDM printers). This G-code file can then be printed with 3D printing client software (which loads the G-code, and uses it to instruct the 3D printer during the 3D printing process).

Construction of a model with contemporary methods can take anywhere from several hours to several days, depending on the method used and the size and complexity of the model. Additive systems can typically reduce this time to a few hours, although it varies widely depending on the type of machine used and the size and number of models being produced simultaneously.

Sharebot provides support and learning course on there two slicing software:

  • Slic3r, worldwide most used and common open-source slicing software.
  • Simplify3D, a high quality slicing software mainly used by professional users.
